CURRENT FISING REPORT – 4/29/26

Below Holter Dam is fishing well. The BWO’s are here! Most days the BWO’s are coming off around 1pm and will continue till dark. Nymphing is the best in the morning with BWO patterns and still mixing in some sow/scud patterns. MFG’s Gunner Perigon, Little Green Machine’s, Olive Psycho May’s and like patterns are working well. Dry fly fishing is the best in the afternoons/evenings. Best pattern’s have been this like Extended body baetis, Film Critics, On-Point Baetis, and Hi-Vis Spinners.

The Streamer game is getting good with the water temps coming up. Pick favorite streamers and give them a try. Sparkle Minnows, Sir Sticks a-lot, olive wooly buggers, She Demons are some of the patterns we have been selling in the shop.

Below Hauser dam is starting to slow down with the rainbow spawn being pretty much done. People have been coming in and buying scuds/sows and BWO nymphs. No reports of the sucker spawn starting as of yet.

All the lakes around Helena are fishing as well. Balanced Leeches, Chironomids and egg patterns are what we are selling the most in the shop for the lakes.
